The Azores are a group of nine Islands located between 39º, 43'/39º, 55 ' latitude north, with a total area of 2.355Km2, varying its individual areas between 747 Km2 (São Miguel) and 17 Km2 (Corvo). They are divided in three groups: the Eastern Group São Miguel and Santa Maria, the Central Group Terceira, Graciosa, São Jorge, Pico and Faial, and the western Group Flores and Corvo.
